Critique Reflection - Leanne Sheth

I found the feedback helpful and constructive. I was encouraged to follow my "child's house" concept, which shows the effects of gender roles installed on young children. I was told to emphasize the child, and be sure the viewer understood the piece was about a child. I want to craft a crib out of cardboard, to match the cardboard house. Being a neutral element, cardboard would contrast against the vivid colors of femininity enforced on young girls. I was told to research the book Female Chauvinist Pig, and stay in the mindset that gender roles are not always bad, or that masculinity in a feminine manner can still be detrimental. I am not entirely sure where to go from here.
