For this project I intends to record sounds that are normally very quiet or usually disregarded, creating an uncanny or contemplative atmosphere. I want to hint at a space that everyone knows, because these sounds are familiar to everyone, even though we may be trained not to hear them. I like the idea of people trying to decipher what they're hearing, and perhaps not being able to tell because they don't listen enough in their own lives to be able to recognize the sounds readily.
I would like to keep my project relatively quiet, even though the recorded sound will be amplified because of the nature of the recording process. This will create a feeling of things being not quite right, hopefully pushing the audience to try to understand.
