1. A lot of times in art, The medium turns out to be the message all along. In this class we have seen this example in videos where the artist uses his medium to create a message. For instance, In class we watched a video that had two kids in the middle east playing with movie tapes. they rolled them and destroyed them as they ran around all over town. The artist wanted to send a message about the fact that the government had burned all types of movies and that these were thrown out like garbage. the meaning is gone in the videos by showing how the kids not just destroy them but also do not care that they loose them. however, the artist also creates a loop by using this movie to show how the movies lost their importance.
2.Medium is a prison without walls because of the limits one gives themselves when choosing that one medium. We can try to do anything we want with a medium, however, one cant just make a sculpture just out of paint and a painting with just wood. one needs certain mediums to create a certain type of art. therefore, each medium has a limit of what it can be used to create. In the class we have seen videos and works that can be good examples for this. for instance,

Reflection
As i worked i realized that it is harder to create these optical illusions without the computer. however, i will play on the idea that these illusions do not completley work as the illusions found online. however, i do want to explore a lot of different illusions that do not just contain the circles or black and white. I want to give all of these shapes personalities and something interesting. As i watched Stop-motion videos that are based on design, i was given a better idea on how to recreate these works.
